Home fitness equipment
So, the nights are drawing in, and we become less inclined to exercise, or to venture outside to be active or exercise
We find reason(s) not to exercise
However, it needn’t be this way.
There are plenty of ways in which we can exercise indoors, without having to venture out into the cold, dark, and sometimes wet, wintery nights
There are now, many pieces of equipment which are readily available, which can give you just as good a workout, as if you’d been to the gym
below is examples of different pieces of fitness equipment that you can use at home
Resistance Bands
These come in many different varieties, colours, strengths and materials (as you’ll see with the image above)
What type of band you use, can depend on where you’re going to use it, and for what exercises.
Resistance bands are readily available, and start at around £5.
Kettlebell
one of the best portable pieces of fitness equipment you’ll ever buy.
You can complete a full body workout, in as little as 20 minutes!
For a beginner (female), I recommend a 4kg, and for a beginner (male), i recommend an 8kg,
Dumbbell
They come in different materials, and weights, depending on the type of training you want to do with them.
A beginner friendly Neoprene set (for ladies) start at around £15 and a beginner friendly (male) cast iron/vinyl set start at around £20-£25.
Core/Balance Board
great workout aid, for that midsection that we all dream of!
Readily available and start at around £10.
Aerobic Step
A great, portable workout tool for cardio, and strength exercises.
Can be used indoors or outdoors.
Prices start at around £10
These are just a few of the pieces of equipment that i use, in my Personal Training sessions.
