A 5.5 mile course consisting of 3 hilly laps- tough for only my 2nd cross country
started off well. first two miles in 15 mins then realised i had gone off too quickly and that i was starting to slow. still felt good until i reached the big hill at the end of the 2nd lap. climbed it easily enough- and then it hit me. spent the first half of the 3rd lap recovering. managed to finish the lap well including the hill at the end and still managed a sprint finish. very pleased with the race as a whole. in a time of 45.07. also bumped into a friend, who had recently had a baby and will be returning to running very soon, which made the day complete.
