Kettlebell Training is one of the newest trends in the fitness industry.
Kettlebells have been around (originally in Russia) since the 1700’s, but the first instructor training programme was designed, in the USA in 2001.

It is a great cardiovascular workout, as well as being ideal for muscular strength and endurance.
Basic exercises, such as the swing, and snatch comes from a weightlifting background, but there are thousands of exercises you can do with one.
Due to the intense interval type of training that this provides, you can burn up to 20 calories PER MINUTE!
As with any piece of fitness equipment, it has its technicalities. These are best demonstrated by a qualified fitness professional.
A kettlebell can be reasonably priced, and comes in various weights, and materials.
Ideally, as a beginner, I would recommend starting with a 4kg (for a female) which can cost around £10 and 8kg (for a male) which can cost around £20.
They are really great for core training, which will help to improve posture, therefore benefitting us in everyday life.
